SKENDER is a knitwear project that explores identity, place, and visual culture through contemporary clothing. The brand is inspired by my own background between Germany and the former Yugoslavia, with a particular focus on the visual legacy of the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Drawing from the bold graphic language of that period, I developed a custom typography that forms the basis of a growing collection of sweaters featuring city names from around the world.

The project combines a strong visual identity with small-scale production and high-quality materials. Made from Icelandic ISTEX wool, the sweaters are produced in collaboration with knitting workshops in Serbia, ranging from made-to-order pieces to limited editions. Each design connects typography, color, and place, creating wearable objects that reflect personal memories, cultural references, and a fascination with cities beyond the usual fashion capitals.
