The Sarajevo Sebilj is one of the city’s main symbols and one of its most recognizable tourist attractions. Built in the late 19th century and located in the central square of Baščaršija, it is a public fountain that opens on eight sides and is richly decorated with diverse ornamental details.
Following its principle and composition, the elements are reorganized into a custom grid. In this case, the grid does not serve to shape typography, but rather acts as a reinterpretation of the surface—a visual structure that becomes the foundation for the poster design.
Additionally, the text on the poster features a quote from an early 19th-century French travel writer, who describes Sarajevo of that time in a distinctly romantic and poetic way.
