A poster that just won’t let me go. Created in Paris during one of the most unusual times we’ve all been through – the lockdown. Unexpectedly, after my arrival from Mexico City, I had planned a six-day layover in Paris. But things turned out differently: Mid-March 2020, everything suddenly came to a halt. I found myself trapped in one of the most impressive and beautiful cities in the world. In the heart of the second arrondissement, surrounded by the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and just a few steps from Les Halles, I spent a total of two months. Not much happened, as we all know. The city was deserted on some days. Where once cars roared and honked en masse on the magnificent and wide boulevards, I could stroll around easily, discovering the city for myself. In a strange way, it felt like Paris belonged to me during this time. As if it were a gigantic, theatrical playground. This time inspired me greatly.
The poster became an expression of this experience. It depicts objects, buildings, and places written in a very French Art Nouveau-style font. As the shops slowly reopened, I found a printing press near my apartment that could print the posters in A0 size. Since then, the poster has accompanied me everywhere – whether in Zurich, Vienna, Berlin, or Sarajevo. Everywhere I go, I spontaneously put up these prints on walls. The poster comes in three colors: neon pink, neon orange, and neon yellow.
