Susanna Hofer, a Viennese artist and photographer known for staging everyday objects in quirky, humorous, and impactful ways, commissioned me to develop a unique hand-drawn font for her new branding. Inspired by the Vienna Secession of Art Nouveau and the aesthetics of early 20th century Vienna, I created a flowing, dynamic font that mimics handwriting. This font was not only used on her website but also in a large-scale billboard campaign in the heart of Sarajevo. A total of nine posters were created, featuring various works and installations by Susanna. To save costs, I then personally – to the best of my ability – installed the posters myself. The font is named Distel3000, after Susanna's favorite flower, the thistle.
